Wayfinding is a critical component of the urban landscape.  In spite of the importance of effective signage, there is no journal dedicated to this topic.  As such, scholars from a variety of academic disciplines (law, planning, engineering, business, art, economics, architecture, landscape architecture, industrial design, and graphic design) publish their scholarship in journals in their home disciplines.  As a result, interdisciplinary group of scholars engaged in this area of research rarely have a chance to communicate their findings.  This journal seeks to bring them together.
